Current documentary project
Caught between the consequences of climate change and breathtaking nature, Fijian conservation leaders teach me how to save their home.
Over the course of ten weeks, they open their world to me: across breathtaking reefs, between wandering sharks and mantas, and through thick mangroves. All the while, we slowly close in on the scars of a tragedy that man-made climate change brought to Fiji ten years ago.
This four-part series is what I brought home. It is my attempt to show, through their eyes, why the people who lead conservation should be the ones who call a place home.

Wildfires, deforestation, droughts.
In my first film, I set out to explore how the NGO Osa Conservation protects one of the most biodiverse habitats on Earth—the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica.
To do so, I travel into the tropics and experience an adventure I could never have imagined. What exactly happened there? You’ll see in the film on July 30, 2025. The entire project was produced by me alone. While studying molecular biology, I taught myself how to film and edit. There’s no sponsor and no team behind it. Just me—as a student—trying to create my very first film. With limited resources and recurring challenges.
How do you build a storyline? How do you create suspense? Where do I find music? What are sound effects? Why does my film look so grey? Oh right—I need to color grade it. How do you animate a map? What even is sound design?
13 months later and the film is finally finished.
